Due to its well-hidden destination where most of the interested travellers are unaware that such a scenic and magnificent country that exists, where we will take you to explore its serene surrounding within pristine wilderness of high hill and giant mountains. Ganesh Himal Trekking takes you right at the foot of the mountain at base camp which will be the highest spot of the adventure at above 4,500 m / 14,900 ft high where walk leads you into many farm villages and beyond from human habitations and villages for some days.

Ganesh Himal Trekking starts taking a drive on winding uphill to reach at Langtang Himal area around Rasuwa district and at Dhunche town, where the journey leads further to Syabrubesi village, within Tamang hill people intact with strong Buddhism religion.

With first-day walk heads due north-west past nice villages of Gatlang and Somdang to reach our main highlight at Ganesh Base Camp with marvellous time exploring around the unexplored region in between high mountains.

After enjoyable and exciting time at the foot of Ganesh Himal heading back to the road head taking an alternative route with fabulous views along the walk over high Pangsang Hilltop to reach the warm low area of Trisuli around Nuwakot district and then back at Kathmandu after a great memorable adventure on Ganesh Himal Trekking.

Day 01:  Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.

Day 03:  Drive to Syabrubesi 1,462m – 06 hrs.

Detail Itinerary:

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
On reaching Kathmandu international airport received by our staff and guide with a warm welcome then transfer to your hotel in the centre of Kathmandu city, after getting refreshed in your rooms join for group briefing regarding your stay in Nepal, where guides will provide information of the trek-local lodge-hotels-culture and other necessary information related to trekking.

Day 02: Free day in Kathmandu trek preparation with the optional tour.

In Kathmandu free day preparation for Ganesh Himal Trekking, and to observe Nepalese culture and traditions, where one can join in our options for a wonderful and interesting sightseeing tour on request.

Day 03: Drive to Syabrubesi 1,462 m -06 hrs.

Morning bus journey to Syabrubesi, drive takes you on winding uphill and downhill road, the drive leads past town and farm villages the bigger town on route Trisuli Bazaar, around sub-tropical climate road from here climbs uphill to a cooler region leaving the rice paddy behind to maize and millet terraced fields as the weather changes with the culture and the people as well, on arrival at the entrance of Dhunche 1,965m, a major town of Langtang area and Rasuwa district. There's a Langtang National Park headquarters office where you're Trekking and Park permit are checked by the Nepalese Army serving as Park warden.

From here, the journey continues further downhill for 1-2 hours to Syabrubesi village for the overnight stop.

 Day 04: Trek to Gatlang 2,438 m 05 hrs.
Leaving behind Syabrubesi village on the path through the forest along the side od Milung Khola / stream. The path follows traversing around the foot of the spur into the valley of the Chilime Khola at first, crossing over the bridge to follow a path upstream to another large suspension bridge to the south bank, past Gholjong Sango.

The trail climbs steeply through terraced hillsides to Gatling, passing Mani walls piled with carved stones and lotus flower mandalas.

Gatling is a crowded village with stone built houses huddled together an interesting village built on a ridge. 

Day 05: Trek to Somdang 3,270 m -06 hrs.
Walk climbs further  to Khumbu Danda at 3,739m / 12,267 ft with views of Annapurna in the west with Langtang and towards east, following road for a while which is being extended to the army post at Samathang, continuing walk up the main valley by the stream, approaching the head of the valley the  climbing on the right side of the stream. Fine waterfalls on the right, where there are several possible campsites, camping for the overnight before heading towards the Ganesh Base Camp past the small village of Somdang.

Day 06: Trek to Ganesh Base Camp 4,500m / 14,900 ft - 05 hrs.

Climbing above Somdang village beyond the last tree line and beyond climb steeply above a gorge of the river, path in some places are quite rocky climbing between outcrops and then traversing towards the north-eastwards to a small valley bounded by moraines below the glaciers of Paldor Peak to establish our Base Camp.

At the confluence of Paldor West and Paldor East glaciers just north of a fine rock pinnacle that earlier climber named Cleare called 'Neddy's Thumb', at an altitude of 4,500 meters.                    

Day 07: Rest day at Base Camp.
Rest day and acclimatization and for short walks and explore the new fresh areas around the base camp.

Day 08: Trek to Pansing Bhanjyang Phedi 3,822m / 12,540 ft - 06 hrs.
From the base camp walking out towards Trisuli Bazaar and retracing the ascent route to the army camp in the Mailung Khola. The walk continues down the west bank of the river and then climbing through forest to a pass on the Tiru Danda. After a brief stop here, the path leads to the meadow and huts below the pass for the overnight camp known as Pansing Bhanjyang which offers a stunning view across the valley over the Khurpa Danda to the Langtang and beyond.

Day 09: Trek to Rupchet 4,000m / 13,000 ft -06 hrs.
Leaving Bhanjyang behind on downhill with some switchbacks from one side of the ridge to the other, offering views as a reward for the effort put in. after a dramatic descent off the end of the higher Tiru Danda, and down the rocky gullies to reach Rupchet just above the tree-line and camp at Rupchet itself.

Day 10: Trek to Saline 2,500 m -05 hrs.
The walk leads through forests with a long descent to Salankhu Khola side.  Once again back amongst people within agricultural endeavour, passing farmlands and small villages eventually reaching Saline village, camp on open terrace lands close to the village.

Day 11: Trek to Deurali 1,500 m -05 hrs.

Traversing over terraced fields, crossing a steep little pass then at forest reaching at Boldugaon village, leaving behind continue on zig-zag down at picturesque agricultural fields to a Deurali.  Here settle for an overnight stop.

Day 12: Trek to Trisuli Bazaar and drive back to Kathmandu.
Today heading toward Trisuli Bazaar, begin descending as path continue leading through fields, with dramatic changes in the vegetation of tropical, with bananas, Pipal and banyan trees and climate change- increasing heat. Eventually, reach the thriving bazaar town of Trisuli. After lunch load up the bus and take a drive back to Kathmandu. The road twists and turns through the ridges zigzagging and sometimes climbing to reach the Lucha Danda, then descent towards Kathmandu, reaching Kathmandu in the late afternoon, check in to the Hotel.

Day 13:  In Kathmandu for individual activities.

Allowing an extra night and day in Kathmandu for you to enjoy individual

activities and shopping souvenirs or join in another exciting tour. 

Day 14: Depart Nepal for international flight home-ward bound.
Last day in the country of Himalayan wonders, after an amazing experience and wonderful memories around Ganesh Himal Trekking, and then depart from the hotel as per your flight time our staff transfers you to Kathmandu international airport for your homeward flight or to next respective countries.

Essential Info

Seasons and Climate:
Where one can join for this treks nearly all months of the year except monsoon wet months from mid-June to mid-September.

March to May lively and colourful with rhododendron (national flower of Nepal) and other wild-flower in full bloom, most days are clear with late afternoon cloudy with cooler morning and night time.

October to November another best months to trek when most of the days are clear for views but with short sun-lights and much cold and freezing temperatures in the morning and night including shades away from sunlight,        with chances of
snow sometimes during autumn and winter times including early spring season.

I availed Buna Trek’s Kathmandu Valley One Day Sightseeing Tour and it was truly one of the highlights of my stay in Kathmandu. Rudra was a spectacular tour guide and knew the city and its history like the back of his hands. I particularly enjoyed Kathmandu Durbar Square and Swayambhunath Stupa.
