Price: $: 99

Kathmandu valley day tour reflects the glimpse of traditional style temples, monuments, palaces, monasteries, stupas that holds great significance culturally and historically. Mainly we will visit the world heritage site in the Kathmandu valley namely Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swoyambhunath stupa, Boudhanath stupa and Pashupatinath temple. We can visit the Narayanhiti Museum which holds the mystery of royal massacre and relax at the garden of dreams; both places are at a walking distance away from tourist hub Thamel.

Kathmandu Durbar square is one of the three durbars of the valley (Patan durbar square and Bhaktapur durbar square are others) surrounded by the beautiful pagoda style temples and courtyards. It is also known as Hanuman dhoka durbar square or basantapur durbar square. Visit the home of living goddess Kumari along the old palace (which is now a museum). After a short drive of 20 minutes, we arrive at Swayambhunath stupa at top of small hill. There are lots of monkeys in the area and also known as monkey temple. The view from the top of the hill is spectacular and a paradise for photographers. Buddhist monasteries are nearby reflecting the Buddhism culture and tradition. Our next destination would be Boudhanath stupa, the largest stupa in Nepal near Kathmandu city around 45 mins drive from Swayambhunath stupa. Being there just gives you the feeling of peace in the holy land. Pashupatinath temple is the most known temple of Lord Shiva, thousands of Hindus from all over visits to the temple. Entrance is limited only to Hindus but you can definitely get close to the river bank and indulge the beauty. The cremation site and hindu deities are a common view in the area. This holy place is also surrounded by plenty of monkeys.
